Responsibilities

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I (PRN), internally referred to as our Rad Tech I at St Mary's Medical Center a member of Prime Healthcare. Focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures, which involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN.

Hours: Varied

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    perform Diagnostic Radiographic or other procedures according to department protocols
  • responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
  • interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
  • maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
  • stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
  • operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images, be able to perform C-Arm for fluoroscopic imaging and understand the fluoroscopy imaging techniques
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
  • ARRT-R is required
  • must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
  • current BCLS (AHA)
  • graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT
  • at least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
  • proficient computer skills
